    hi,
I am thinking of laying quickstep uniclic or balterio flooring in my sitting room and bedroom. I am told they are better than solid flooring and do not mark as much (high heels for example wont destroy the floor).
Does anyone have these types of floor in their homes and would they reccomend it?
just to note the bedroom is upstairs over the kitchen so sound is a factor here.

    thx for any help

i would much prefer going with a good laminate flooring like quickstep uniclic than a solid or semi solid cos solid or semi sold scratch and mark like f*ck!! The laminates are very hard wearing and hard to scratch.
My parents got a good laminate floor about 8 years ago in their living room. I must stress that it was an expensive floor not the sh*te paper thin ones thats been about this last couple of years. You can (and the fitter done it to show us) get a spoon and run it across the floor over and back and it wont scratch. 8 years on the floor is as soon as the day it was put in - of course it was minded and cleaned properly but i would definitely recommend laminate (a good quality one) over solid or semi solid any day

We have a quickstep floor in our sunroom for 2 years ago - it gets lots of traffic and has held up really well. Despite the fact that it is a very light colour it does not mark much and cleans up really well. I would recommend it over semi solid floors anyday
