    Hi,
I hope this is the right place to put this. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if a cookie on your PC means that someone definitely was on that site? I've found one on my pc thats not too nice
    Thanks

Not always. Often, site A will have adverts for site B, and site B may be able to set cookies, depending on how the browser is configured (by default, it will be able to)

That said, non-dodgy sites rarely allow advertising for dodgy sites. Try taking a look in the history (hit Ctrl-H)
