Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I need a rough estimate on the value of a setup we're looking to get rid of after getting a new one. Haven't the faintest clue what it's worth, audio equipment is not my field. The setup is as following:

    Monitor Audio Bronze 2 Speakers
    Marantz CD6000 Cd Player
    Marantz ST4000 Tuner
    Marantz PM6010F Amplifier

    thanks guys.

    TerrorFirmer,

This is not the wrong place as such, but really the value of the items is whatever someone is willing to pay for them and getting opinions of value here is not necessarily the same thing. A reasonable amount of hifi type stuff passes through the electronics section of Adverts.ie, you could have a gander there at similar level equipment that's sold and get an idea from that.

Yes I realise that and in any other item I would be able to give a rough estimation but this sort of stuff is frankly totally alien to me. I literally wouldn't know it if it was worth 20 quid or 200. I'm not looking for an exact figure, but a very vague ballpark would be great. :o

Likewise I realise that it's actual 'value' and what people are willing to pay could be completely different, but nonetheless I want to know a rough basis to start off from.

look how much the replacements are for those products now and half that for a start. then depending on what condition its in, how old etc reduce the price accordingly.
