The gym and older people

So here is a sort of ridiculous question but do older people use the gym?

It turns out I will be back in Dublin for a while and it seems that since I was at TCD as an undergrad I can join the gym at quite a good rate. The thing is I don't like the feeling of being out of place so is it only used by students or is there a fair mix of students, staff and so on? What about the pool, is there all sorts of people or is it all super-fit 20 year old sport club adones?

    Thanks.

Afriend of mine is a former student who uses the gym and pool regularly.

I can confirm he qualifies as an "older person":D

    That's Adonises, 3rd declension,extending noun.

    sorry...

As for the gym, there's always a really good mix of younger and older people there; I see my lecturers quite a bit, and quite a lot of postgrads go too, so it should be ok!

And even the 20 year olds aren't all that Adonis-y.

Adonises like penises? I didn't know that.

Anyway thanks for the replies: it isn't like it is a big issue, it is just the pool and gym are no fun if you feel sad. Anyway the choice is TCD which everyone says is good or the council run place on Townsend Street which I used to like because the pool had an entertaining bathhouse atmosphere.

    "Extending noun"?
Adonis is a Greek noun anyway.

    Way harsh.

I go a fair bit and I'm the ring side of 4th year by a couple of years.

Wouldnt give a toss who is at the gym.

Unless its G'em. She uses all the weights
