Looks like our beloved Finance minister Brian Lenihan thinks we're all too gloomy.

Well, I for one agree! Cheer up you bunch of sniveling, ungrateful, sh1ts!!!

Rejoice! Be grateful for our wonderful Government. They deserve being the highest paid politicians and having the second longest holidays in the civilized world (still a few more weeks to go lads ...!!!).

We should be delighted about unemployment increasing by over 10,000 a month (before we even mention Dell, Tara, or Waterford Crystal ...). Wont that give all those people more time to have lovely lie-in's and enjoy the wonderful array of daytime TV on offer.

Rejoice about the record €12.7 Billion defect. Sure we wont have to worry about that ... let our sniveling brats of kids pay it off for us. Ok, they might be in some of the highest class sizes in the developed world, but sure wont that just toughen them up for the crumbling infrastructure and 3rd world health services when they leave school.

And dont forget most of the big property developers still have their millions, and Bank bosses are still in highly paid jobs.

I could go on ... and on, and on ...

So why dont ye all shut the fcuk up and stop being so gloomy. Tis a wonderful little country we have here :D:D:D

aye, not to mention each additional builing up state pensions he's additionally entitled to every 4 years, and the junket trips, gifts (official and unofficial maybe), best private health scheme, etc.

He has every right to be happy. I'd be too in his position. ...I wish!

Sounds like Bertie Ahern's "The economists are so depressed they should all go commit suicide" a year before the recession hit.

Or John McCain's advisor calling America a nation of whiners.

Gotta love the gob-shites of the world

Exactly. I wouldn't mind him earning a good salary if he was doing an important job well.

But he seems to do sweet FA.

The government reminds me of what being a student was like.

Grant comes in and you drink it in the first few weeks. Now they have to find a way to survive.

    We need a revolution!

    Exactly!

I think I picked the right time to pack in the job to go back to college for a year. Won't have to face reality until september. I'll wait until then to be gloomy.

I dont know what Lenihans so cheery about. He's a fat b'astard!

Smoke what Frada smokes and we'll all be happy :p

I'm sad because I'm a realist. The economy is in tatters, job front is NOT good. If Lenihan wants me to crack a smile maybe he could give me a reason, like resigning.
