    Would anyone know of any builders merchants in Mayo who would give a list of material costs based on plans for a new house?

    Who you need is a Quantity Surveyor these people are qualified to do a material list. A builder merchant is a supplier of building materials only. A Q.S. will do the work to building standards and specifications to building regulations. Find a good QS, worth peace of mind to know job is done correctly.
    Building materials list is time consuming could take at least 5/6 Hrs. if by any chance a item/s is missed it could be very costly on your part and put your building budget out the window. Go the correct way and save money in the long run.
    being in the building game iv'e seen it so often where materials were missed ( where I would be asked to price materials for clients)and can be costly believe me. Check golden pages for names and ask the relevant contacts for references. A good reference is worth it's weight in gold?
