RDS radio time

    Hi,

The clock in my car gets the time from the RDS data sent by the radio stations. I have noticed in the last month or so that the time seems to be out by about five or six minutes which can be a little annoying. I have to always manually change it as the clock defaults to using the RDS time.

Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me? I mainly listen to Today FM and 2FM.

    Regards,
    Richard

Most radio stations pay very little attention to the time on their RDS encoders, you're best bet is to somehow disable the autotime function on your car radio, if its possible to do so, and manually enter the correct time. It can be annoying especially when some stations can be HOURS out.

I had a look through the car manual and found a way of disabling the RDS clock function completely so that's what I will do!

    Thanks!
