    Hi there

After my horrendous morning (see after hours post) lol.. I was hoping for some advice.

I did have a look up to page 5 of the fashion & appearance forum and couldnt find anything.

Basically I am looking to get my long blonde hair (down past my shoulders) cut much shorter in to a funky cropped bob.

This is a huge deal for me as I have always had long hair. Could any one recommend a hairdresser in Dublin who is excellent at cutting? I dont mind paying top dollar for someone really good. In fact I think I would prefer to for peace of mind?!? :o

Ive read about Jenny Crawford in Kazumi Salon, anyone have experience of her? Or anyone have experience with the new Peter Mark Style Clubs?

I worked with Jenny Crawford years ago and she really is good.
I'm a bit sceptical about the new Style Club salons.

    thanks for replying to me.

Does Jenny generally have long waiting lists to get an appointment?

Why are you wary of the style clubs??

I'm not sure about her waiting lists.
I'm wary of the style club salons in case they're just a gimmick. Unless you know of an individul stylist who's really good I wouldn't go to a salon hoping for the best.

Queen Beauty Emporium in Aungier street is great. Ive had my hair cut by both John and Paraic there and they were both fabulous! Highly recommend them.

I go to Brown Sugar, I think they are excellent in there.

well the great thing about the recession is that big expensive salons are letting experienced staff go cos they cant afford them, and they are now moved to more affordable salons. i'd my hair cut by a girl who worked in tony and guy and in house of colour the other day, for less than 40€!!

    Hi

I got my hair cut by a girl called Derri in Ozlo hairdressers. its in Georges Street Arcade. She spent so much time making sure my bob was perfect it was brilliant. I'm usually very nervous about drastic changes to my hair (although I love the outcome) but since i started going to her I'm not scared of the out come at all.

I had been dying to get a bob done for years but no one would ever do it right or the way i wanted to (no layers etc) anyway she did such an amazing cut the manager stopped me on the way out and asked who did my hair and congratulated her in front of everyone for such a good job.

Anyway good luck with the big change.

I like Toni and Guy. I always look at the people in the salon though, if they have bad hair(which for some reason a lot of hairdressers too, especially the girls) I get a bit wary!

Well, I got tired of paying so much for a haircut so i went to a new Polish saloon, it's on the top of Lord Edward street and they did a really great job for me. :)

I got a traditional cut, so I wouldn't know if they do extreme ones..

Anyhow, it was €25 euro for cut and blow-dry. :)

And I will be returning. :)

Hession Hairdressers in Drumcondra is brilliant.
They've never let me down and are mad sound, a lot of times before ive asked for a trim in other hair dressers, like a tiny trim, they end up cutting about 3 inches off, but they listen in hession and do exactly what you want.

ALSO, if your hair is that long, i don't think you should go straight to a bob, it's a bit of a shock and maybe you should cut up in stages. try out a few more hairstyles with medium hair then go mental.
i talk from experience of what i wish i did.

Alison in Khaki in Tallaght. I've spent a FORTUNE over the years looking for someone who can cut my hair the way I want it. They haven't been opened for that long but I've recommended her to a lot of my friends and they're all going there now.
