I would suggest looking through the whole section and see what people are saying about other games.

Here is a link from another member who asked the same question but put a little more effort into his post about what games he used to play etc etc.

Im not getting on to you but we dont know what kind of games you like, what games you used to play on the SNES or other Consoles etc etc - so help us to help you!!

    What games do you like?

    Just in general pick up:

    Zelda Twilight Princess
    Okami
    Pro Evo 2008
    Metroid Prime 3

    If you have internet download:
    Super mario world
    World of Goo.

Those are the games i would rate as the best available. Zelda TP is probably the best.

I appreciate that and I'm not getting at you either, however I was looking for what seasoned wii gamers (which I sure you are) like and have found unique to the wii experience. If I wanted to get profiled and sold a game based on my gaming history I'll go to a shop

Nah thats fair enough, as I said I didnt mean to get onto you and it probably sounded like I did...for that I will apologise. Just want to know what kind of games do you like?

    For example

Super Smash Brothers...I think is tripe but is loved here.

Zelda...was always a Zelda fan but keep dipping in and out of it (still) and does not hold my attention, maybe it because I am getting older.

MarioKart Wii...Think it was good but after I unlocked everything I have not played it since...SuperMarioKart on the Snes is still God like to me.

SuperMario Galaxy - See Zelda, still is an awesome game but SuperMarioWorld is still the greatest!!

ProEvo...Best Control scheme ever, once you get the hang of it you will NEVER want to play it on the Xbox or PS3 again.

Resident Evil Wii....Excellent Shooter, and I never liked shooter games!

If you go back through this section you will see what people have posted about all of these games in various threads. This is the only place I would go to get opinions. American people's perception of games varies so much from us little green folk!!

If I could ban you without getting in trouble I would! Love Smash Bros. :)

Don't forget No More Heroes, great game with excellent comedy and an experience unique to the Wii.

Warioland The Shake Dimension is a decent platformer, like SMG there is enough different in it to make it worthwhile :)

Link to previous thread on this game:

    :p

Dunno what it is with Brawl...maybe it is because none of my mates like it and I just dont find any lasting appeal in 1 player mode....

No More Heroes...is next on my list to buy when I finish Zelda, which I have taken back up again after a long break!

Alot of people on here rave about No More Heroes. I played the first level and i thought it was very ordinary. But then to be fair back when people where raving about Okami i was the same. But now that i gave it a chance i have totally changed my opinion. Too late for No more heroes cos i traded it months ago.

OP, i would agree with Resident Evil 4. Great game, forgot about it. I played it on the PS2 but the Wii is the best version or so i have heard.

No More Heroes was a great game. Shame about some of the raising money bits in between which let it down somewhat.Thinking back on my favourites for the wii I'd recommend

    Metroid Prime 3
    Zelda
    Mario Strikers Charged
    Mario Kart
    Resident Evil 4

Can't think of anymore at the moment.

If you're looking for an online first person shooter, you won't find better than Call of Duty: World at War. Second best is Medal of Honor:Heroes 2 and coming soon is The Conduit which seems to be the most promising one in ages (it supports Wii Speak in game)

Mario Kart as has already been suggested.
Rayman Raving Rabbits.... Wii board compat version. Great game for a bit of fun and a laugh.

Ok lads, I have no gaming history whatsoever, have NEVER really played any computer/console games, but I bought a WII for Christmas for the kids aged 7 and 3. I like the WII Sports and bought WII Play and Boon Blox, all of which are pretty good. We will probably get a lot of enjoyment of those for a while yet, but what other good games are out there which would be suitable for the kids, but interesting enough for me?
    (Does such a game exist?!)

    Thanks for any suggestions...

WarioWare will give you hours upon hours of enjoyment...the 7 year old will pick it up...maybe not the 3 year old but maybe..Im not really sure to be honest! It is very different to any other games on the Wii and used the Remote to perfection.

MarioParty is decent enough to for younger games. Like a massive boardgame with loads of little novelty games as mini-games.

Santa brought the Wii too for my kids. The games that the love are "Cars" from the movie. More for boys though and my 3 year doesn't really know how to play it but loves watching others play it. They love the movie so that helps, but its a good game too and there are loads of mini games within it.

Another which we all love, and the 3 year can manage is Family trainer. Its got loads of mini games with a little mat which you stand on. Its great craic for all ages. Highly recommended for those with kids aged 3 or more.

BTW, I use www.metacritic.com for reviews and there are links to videos of each game. Also www.gametrailers.com which has loads of well emmmm trailers of you guessed it, games!
