i have Firefox installed. Latest version. Was working fine till this morning.
Now when I turn it on, no matter what site I am on, the usual site address box is blank as in the following pic:

    9ihb8o.jpg

I can type into it for example:

    10qc5s5.jpg

But because I can see the website I am on, I can't bookmark now anything.
Has anyone come across this problem and how have they solved it?

Note: I have checked for viruses/malware/etc. Turned off all skins/addons etc, to see would it make a difference. No joy.

    Help?

Do you use Fast dial addon? THe version released on the 5th did the exact same thing to mine! And the dev claimed its a conflict with the addon IETab, I know you said you disabled addons, but if you use these two addons try getting the new version of Fast Dial fixed the issiue for me,

It is very useful when you open up a new secondary tab.
When installing Firefox on people's systems I always change the toolbar layout slightly like below.

Using the "open a new tab" kicks in the Fast Dial for me. Save me aggro going looking for bookmarks.
I find it very useful indeed.

Use Speed Dial myself. Have the open new tab and also a speed dial button on my tool bar to speed up access.

As an aside, what Firefox skin is that? It's lovely.

I'm disappointed with the Fast Dial add-on. I loved the old version and didn't think too deeply when it went for an update yesterday. The new one totally borked my system and I can't seem to find earlier non invasive versions of it anywhere :(

I can see that it is usefull.
I always check out add ons mentioned by others to see if i like it. This one seems usefull but the latest version is not exactly received well...
And because of that i said you might be better off without it.

You could be right if its not working well in conjunction with the rest of your setup.
When it is working right, it's all good. Hope your able to get it sorted.

Try Speed Dial. Very similar add on. No compatibility issues for me so far.
