How do I apply for the general civil service exams?

    OK, this is bugging the hell out of me.

    I'm registered on publicjobs.ie, and I've applied for certain specific jobs, but I can't work out how to apply for the general exams (Administrative Officer). I missed the last set without noticing, and it's doing my head in.
    Either I've gone blind or there is a glitch in my profile.

    Could someone quickly outline what to click on to apply for the exams so I can see if I'm wrong or they are?

    You can't apply for the AO until they are advertised - not sure, but maybe in April?
    Only advertised for 2 or 3 weeks so easy to miss.
    Need to do a test in the RDS and then maybe get called for an interview.
    Even after that (which will take a few months) you may not get a job from the panel as it expires after a year or two.
