    it seems a little dark for me, but my screen is uncalibrated. also i think if you either cropped or cloned out the lampost and the steps to the left of the photo it would improve it a lot, as i find them quite distracting.
    other than that though i really like it. the pier has nice leading lines in it and i love the shadows of the people aswell.

    I think the photo is a bit too dark and theirs not too much going on in the left side. Maybe a crop like this?

    Thanks for the C&C. I'm working on a laptop with an un-callibrated screen (anyone clued up on calibrating dell screens?)

    I've cropped and brightened the image, I went for a crop that kept the girl on the left in and taken out the empty grey foreground.

    That looked a bit like an Escher painting until I realised it was on the ramp.
