    Hi,

Im off to Lanzarote next week and I see from forecasts that there is a chance of storm and heavy rain forecast for all of next week. Just wondering what peoples experiences have been of lanzarote and bad weather :eek:and if its likely that it could change. Dreading going if its going to be raining.

    Thanks for any opinions

    Jessie

I was there in October/Novemeber and found it pretty changable. I had a look at the forecast before we left and sure enought the days that were forecast to have rain it poured down for a while then the sun came out and it was grand. It gets quite windy and chilly at times - especially in the evenings thou so make sure you bring something warm and waterproof.

due to the island location, the forecast is gospel. unlike here.

Was in Fuerteventura 12 days over Xmas. Forecast for rainy weather came true, but it just rained heavily for 1 day, and we had another day with no sun.

Otherwise sun shone every day (but not all day every day!). i.e. weather was much better than forecast would lead you to believe. We hired a car but hardly needed it.

    Great holiday.

Despite what the brochures say there is no guarantee of all year sun in the Canaries. I have been to Lanzarote twice in January and the weather was very changeable both times. I've lost count of how many times I've heard similar stories.

It's the luck of the draw so keep your fingers crossed.
