Cancelling multiroom without cancelling Sky+

The kids haven't used the Sky box in the second room as much as we expected since we got it just before Christmas, so we were thinking of maybe cancelling it.

I rang Sky to see what the cooling off period for multiroom is, but they said I would have to cancel Sky+ also. From what they said you can't actually cancel multiroom. This seems a bit weird - is this the case ?

I don't have my contract to hand but will double check it when I get home. I actually don't mind paying the sub for a year if I have to, but at the same time if I can cancel it then it would save some money.

I was thinking of cancelling multiroom as well and so am surprised to hear from you that you also have to cancel Sky+. As a matter on interest, have you had you sky+ for over 12 months?

We just got it in before Christmas, so it's more like 12 days than 12 months we have had it.

I was specifically looking to cancel under the cooling off period. I am reasonably sure I could cancel it flat out but I would still have to pay them the 12 months subscription if I can't use the cooling off period.
