    Hi Guys

Does anyone here have any info about jobs in Dubai. I'm in Sales and thinking about giving this rain drenched country a break.

    Thanks in advance.

I know someone who just moved there. She was finding it difficult getting a job while in Ireland, so she just moved over and is hoping for the best...

She was looking for secretary/admin type positions.

I'll try to find out what jobsites people use over there.

    How now?

I currently live in Dubai. Me & my girlfriend moved out here last May. We absolutely love it here. We didn't have any jobs when we came out but we had both recieved job offers within a couple of weeks of getting here. I work in IT consultancy & my girlfriend is an accountant. The websites mentioned are good ones. I got my job through an agency called Hays www.hays.ae My girlfriend went through Charter House www.charterhouseme.ae.
Thing is... none of them will really take you seriously until you are actually in Dubai and they can meet you face to face. We spents months sending our CVs to people before we moved out here and got no replies from any of them. So its definately worth taking the plunge and heading over. The weather is great, the people are great, the food is great & there is absolutley sh*tloads to do out here.

The only warning I would give is that the world economic crisis has hit Dubai also. A lot of companies have began to sack their employees & I don't know if the job prospects would be as good now as they were when we landed here back in May. But if you have a bit of money saved up and can afford to support yourself while you look for a job then you should be fine.

Any other questions please let me know.

Dubai might not be the best place for a sales job at the moment, -most of the sales jobs were in property and sales are drying up in property big time at the moment. If you do go out make sure you have a decent amount of cash to get you buy for a couple of months without a job
