Picasa for Mac thank God

    Google just released Picasa beta for mac and although I haven't had a chance to use it yet, I'm delighted with my iPhoto replacement. I was never a fan of iPhoto and I was in dire need of an alternative.

    Yeah I read about this last night and it's good that google are moving forward in this way. But personally I'll be sticking with iPhoto. I really like it. Good management option for what I want, do easy to grab photos from a friends camera, nice basic editing.

    I can see though that if you are into photography you reach the limits of iPhoto very quickly

    Very good. Nifty features in that app. Must say it looks a little ugly though. Any chance of a native Carbon/Cocoa port?

    Best mac related news I've heard in a long long time, been using Picasa from the beging on my PC and version 3 is brilliant.... I can't stand iphoto, will be downloading this as soon as I get home.. Yipee!!!
