I watched the show last nite and i was in two minds about wheter its showed hunting in a good light, They did get the point across that deer needed to be be culled, but they also made the point that only 1 out of every 10 deer culled in brittan was done by a "profesional", I that it gave the impression that if it was done on the country manor, then it was being done wrong.

I also thought the show kinda leaned on the whole lord of the manor thing too much, i dont hunt deer, but none of my friends that do own vast private estates, i thought it was a little detached from reality

Having said all that I will be tuning in again, and wishing that it was me duck shooting over there loving every second of it, and not some vegan who is just going to cry when you kill or gut an animal

PS Anyone know how much it would cost to have a weekend break like that?

Fair play to BBC 3, I think it showed hunting in a very realistic way. It is a bit Lord of the Manor'ish but it would be impossible to do the program on your average rough shoot.

It was interesting that they showed the farm duck process last night. Hope that spoilt the appetites of the 'greenies' that watched it.

Interesting comments (including some from people who were/are in the programme) on International Falconry Forum (IFF) link below (hope it works!).

Anyone who missed the programmes can download from youtube by googling "kill it, cook it, eat it deer" as BBC3 iplayer cannot be downloaded to non UK IP addresses (unless you know different!).
