I went into USIT today to pay off the rest of myself and my girlfriends RTW trip. I asked could she recheck the prices of the flights because of the drop in the oil prices. She re-booked the whole itinerary for me and i had hoped that maybe it might be €50 - €100 cheaper. after a few minutes of messing with the calculator and the computer my new price was over €1000 cheaper. I nearly fell over!! Well worth asking!:D

RTW prices are only around 2000 anyways. So you managed to get a load of flights for around a grand?

It's about a grand sterling anyway so thankfully you got the savings passed on to you. Well done! What's your route?

The original price of the flights were going to be €4600 for two. When it was re-booked it only came to €3600. €1000 savings between two or €500 each.

    Our route is:
    Dublin-Heathrow
    Heathrow-Rio (3 months in SA)
    Santiago-Auckland (1.5 months in NZ)
    Auckland-Sydney (1.5 months in AUS)
Cairns-Singapore (overland to bangkok and 3 months in SE Asia)
    Bangkok-Heathrow
    Heathrow-Dublin

Leaving for Rio on the 5th March
I cant stop humming Copa...... Copacabana (Barry Manillow rocks!!!):D

I got pretty much the same for €1986 in trailfinders about 7 months ago. Except i went to Mexico City instead of Rio. And mine also included a flight from Cairns to Bali and Singapore to Bangkok. Although i'm gonna do the Singapore to Bangkok overland now. I didn't think they ever would have been as expensive as you got them for.

I paid 2283.56 euro for my RTW trip with trailfinders in May and that was after the fuel charges went up .

    Dublin- Bangkok
    Bangkok-Sydney
    Sydny- Christchurch
    Auckland-Fiji
    Fiji- Hawaii
    hawaii- San Fran
    New York - Dublin

I also paid 777.75 with them for Rio return as I spent 2 months in SA before xmas

I didnt look around much tbh but you would be surprised at the difference. My friend booked flights from London to San Fran for 581 sterling and then when I searched the same airline and dates on Orbitz.com I got it for 581 american dollers as it was on the webiste for the airline aswell!!

I could have flown Singapore to bangkok at no extra cost but decided to do it overland. Including south america in any itinerary adds a few hundred euro.
