My backyard is too small and I'm sure the neighbor wouldn't be happy with me burning stuff in the apartment complex ;)

Yep, I'm burning my imitation one.

I'm moving out of my house at the end of the month, and the house I'm moving in to already has a xmas tree.

I'm fúcked if my landlord is getting his grubby little hands on my one.

Should I take it down first???

    Shit!!!!

    Gotta go....

Not allowed to after last years debacle.
I live 4 floors up with a very large balcony that overlooks the complex's square. My daughter and I placed it on the corner of the balcony wall, covered it in lighter fuel...whoosh. I had to push it off the wall because it was about to fall backwards onto the balcony. This blazing bush went crashing down.

Letters, letters, letters. At a residence meeting (held in my honour) it was asked of me was it a protest as I have a large Israeli flag on the opposite corner from where the tree was launched. It wasn't.

100 quid to The rape crisis centre calmed the feckers down.

I opted for a Jessy tree this year.

I don't know what to do with it. Taking it somewhere in the car is a big no no.

If you do decide to burn it, be prepared for what might happen:

    Definitely do it outside!:D

We do every year. The smell of it burning makes that christmassy feel last a little bit longer.

For clarification: We cut it up and burn it in the fireplace. Not all at once on a balcony or something silly like that. Humberklog. :P

It was just the once. And it was my daughters idea. Although she's only 5 she's very bright and therefore accountable.

    They do smell nice burning.

I like the way after only 2 weeks of drying out in the living room it really does burn like a mother****er. if you take ordinary freshly cut wood or even wood that has been drying for a year it never burns this good

    It's a lovely sound too. (Especially mid-flight!)
It's the sound of Santa's tears.

Tbh i think i will just buy a fake one next year and re-use it. It cuts out a lot of unnecessary hassle me thinks.

Hrmm, I had the problem of "what to do with the old tree" after Christmas 07, we still have it sitting in the back garden as a consequence.

Now we've a second dying tree and I really don't know what we're going to do about.

Nah, just put it back in the box today.
It's not really Christmas without a real tree thought, with pine needles all over the front room and kittens hanging of it (in the good sense) :D

For every christmas tree that is burnt, 15 squirrels die around the world.

Just think of that when yer all lighting up.

My ma used to "plant" the bare tree in the garden and plant sweetpea all around it and it would climb up in the spring and cover it.

It looked terrible but she liked it. God bless her.
