Does anyone know anything about the 1966 commemorative hallmark 'Sword of Light'?

    Hi,
I am new to this and I have already posted this in another section, which I've just discovered is the wrong section!!...so hoping to get a better response from here.......

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about antique Irish silver, especially the 1966 'Sword of Light' commemorative hallmark?

Basically, my mum bought me a condiment set for Christmas with this hallmark on it. She paid a small fortune for it and was told in the antique shop that it was a 1922 condiment set.

Anyway, I set about doing my own investigative work on it as I wanted to see what the hallmarks were. It was then I discovered the small stamp with 1916 and 1966 with a sword in the middle.

So, from reading articles on the web, I discovered it was the 'sword of light' and the condiment set is not from 1922, but from 1966.

Then, to my surprise, I found the actual (as in my exact one) condiment set on the web. It had been sold at an auction house in the UK in November for £185....obviously bought by the antique shop from where purchased it for me. My mother paid in the region of 5 times this amount from the antique shop here in Ireland where she bought it, on the belief that it was a 1922 condiment set.

What I am wondering is this - has my mother been ripped off or does anyone know if this 'sword of light' hallmark is worth a lot? I hate to think that the antique dealer ripped her off. If it is worth a lot, then fine. But if not, I want to go back with it, as she bought it having been told that it was from 1922. I just don't want her to have spent all that money on a dudd when it is meant to be an investment piece.

It's in really good condition - a mustard pot with lid and spoon, a salt pot with spoon and a pepper shaker all in original box in pristine condition.

Can anyone help me please? Thanks! :-)
