Bus ticket options

I use the bus twice a day 5 times a week. After the recent rise in prices I'm exploring the option of a weekly or montly ticket.

I spend 4.40 a day on the bus, so 22 euro a week.

It seems there is no option to reduce this cost looking at the available ticketing options. Maybe I'm missing something?

Dublin Bus or another bus firm? If its DB:

First easiest way would be to use a Travel 90 smartcard, this is under 20 quid and would give you the ten journeys.

Are you working and paying tax? You may be able to pay for your ticket out of your gross salary and save on tax that way.

Possibly the 5 day Rambler smartcard, not a huge saving (€2) or if you only make a max of 10 journey, then as somebody has now mentioned already, the Travel 90 for €18

    Bus Eireann? Dublin Bus?
Where in the country are you?

It makes it easier to give the options

I buy a 30 day rambler ticket for dublin bus. It cost €90 before the price hick. Its proabably something like €100 now. But your 30 days don't have to be consecutive so mine lasts anything from 6 to 8 weeks and I only use it on days when I know I would otherwise be spending more than €3 on buses cause that way i'm making a saving. I don't know what I'd do without them.

    Sorry for being so vague.

I get the 145 to work from Bray to Donnybrook.

I didn't realise that the days on the ticket can be non-consecutive. That makes it more appealing.

    Thanks.
