I hear you can do this for second year, if so, how difficult is it to get the switch

I think you will need to have the points for BComm originally in your year of entry, you will need to pass your first year exams, and there must be places available in BComm (there will be as someone always drops out)

In addition to this, they could make you do some extra subjects from BComm 1 as extra modules in 2nd Year, if this is the case you will have to pay fees for them

I'm not sure if this is correct by the way, I just think it could be, this is the case for changing from Law and Language to just Law

Yes you have to have the points for straight commerce.

I know at least four people switched from bcomm and language to straight bcom last year. Some of them got very low 2H1's while I think one even got a 2H2. You have to have the points though and apply before you sit the summer exams.

normally i think your results need to be good enough in order to change.

but i would really advise you to think strongly about doing it.
the year abroad is a really amazing experience, i would really recommend it.
the only way you miss out is in the fact that you miss out on the third year work placement but you can make up for by just doing an internship during one of the summers.

if its the language your worried about, try and spend some time in whatever country during the summer or whatever...

but seriously think about it! because you will be missing out on a brilliant erasmus year by giving it up.
