New forum title?

How come the new forum title?

I don't see a single thread on the front page that relates to RPG games. 40K, bloodbowl, privateer press, none of those are RPGs.

I agree GamesWorkshop was too narrow. But to my mind, this forum is definitely not a RPG forum. I'm not a RPGer, in any way, and I play all these games.

Gaming Miniatures forum, perhaps? And it should be under real world games, not roleplaying imo.

If somebody wanted to roleplay a game of 40K, or Hordes, fair enough, but they're the exception, not the rule.

Cloud did a re-jig of the games catergory and is looking for some feedback.

But yeah, it should be something like Gaming Miniatures and Cards, it took me awhile to find the new one in my sub list.

    Thanks Cloud, Rev, Mantel.

I would maybe call the forum "Miniature Gaming" since RPGs has its own section and Magic (the dominant CCG) alreaedy has a sub forum under RPGs.

As an aside question ... is there much in the way of traffic for card games? Obviously I've seen precisely zero that I can recollect in my time as GW mod.

There would be more card-related traffic if the Magic forum was replaced by a card gaming forum.

Okay, so you mean like a Collectible Card Gaming forum instead of Magic?

Would probably make it more generic and of course, a bit more obvious for non-MtG related CCG stuff.

As an aside Cloud, would it be possible to create a means of selecting thread-title prefixs (when creating a new thread) since the forum is now non-GW specific,

    e.g.

    radiobutton: Games-Workshop
    radiobutton: Hordes
radiobutton: Other -> Please specific [Text Box here]
    etc. etc.

giving a title format of [prefix] Your title here

Might make filtering and finding stuff a little easier for everyone since some of the thread titles are a bit non-descript yet game-specific

Exactly...at the very least you would get more people...at least somewhere where we can announce demos for other games etc.
