If have a turbo diesel jeep that will not rev pass half trottle. I have changed the fuel and air filter but no result. There is no blockages along the line and starts first go. It happened just of the blue. The turbo seems ok. It sounds like its not kicking in extra fuel. The pipe from the turbo to the pump are also not blocked. Any ideas?

The Turbo doesn't kick in any extra fuel, it pushes air.
Fuel injectors could be giving trouble or any number of things.
If you gave us some more information such as vehicle, engine type, age mileage etc It might be easier to try and assist.

Have seen this as a problem with the mass air flow meter (or more commonly the connections to it) on Fiat JTDs before; could be the case here too?

I had the same problem, wouldnt go above 2500 rpm, MAF was the cause (Air flow meter)

i had a similar problem with a terrible van citroen berlingo if i must say so but it developed a similar problem to your jeep.it would only rev to 3000 rpm took ages to reach 100kph embarassing to say the least.
it ended up i stopped in a garage one eve to see if i could solve it.i used my strength and pulled the acellerator pedal towards me as after i had studyied it i was sure it was the problem.it was not pulling on the acellerator cable properly hence the poor power.now some might say the throttle cable was prob stretched in the first place but these vans are dirt.cheaply made.the accelerator pedal reflected this as i believe it had become distorted from trying to press it to the floor too hard bending the mechanisms within it and stopping it from opening the engine fully.
the van was a flyer after that episode.gladly it is now long sold
