How should one go about becoming a luas/dart driver?
Is it a definitive that you need to have worked for IE before you can apply? (For the DART i mean.)
    Any other conditions or requirements?

Drivers for Iarnrod Eireann are only recruited internally. You have to get a job as a station operative first (which is by no means easy) and then if they are looking for drivers you can apply to do the course. The course takes around a year to compete I think.

Veolia Transport hold open recruitment days when they require staff. You turn up with a CV and you get interviewed. I presume they advertise these open days but I haven't seen them before.

Most of the transport companies seem to be cutting services at the mo so now may not be the best time to look for a job with them.
