Game freezing on R4

    Hi :)

My 6 year old is gutted, his favourite game, which he has been playing since the summer, has started freezing all of a sudden. Its a backup of Pokemon Diamond on an R4. It only seems to happen when he opens his "bag". I have been running the DSTT software update posted here a while back and have had no problems with it. Any suggestions on how I can fix this for him? or the kind of things I could check?

Other stuff is running fine, photos, ebooks, music, all good.

Many thanks for any suggestions :)

    Maybe buy the original game??

That was very helpful, not to mention clever

I have the original game, but I am interested in why this is happening and what can be done to rememdy the problem. If it happens once it can happen again and I would like to be prepared. Its not such a big deal (even if he has to play stuff over again on the original cart) but it could matter more on other stuff.

If this has happened to anyone before and you managed to fix it please let me know how :)

if the game is at fault then you could try re-backing up and using the original .SAV file, you should find it on your microSD card, always 512kb in size and the same name as the game, except the .SAV extension

There is another solution for games that don't run well on R4 (since there are no more updates). Its called the arm7 fix. It involves taking a file from a working game and injecting it into the troublesome game. Google is your friend!
