    Hi All,

I am 20 years old from Ireland. Studied two years of applied Chemistry and dropped out. Been out of college for a year now and wish to rejoin. But I am finding it really hard to find information and I will tell you why.

My CAO points are crap cause I did nothing in Secondary School (My fault I know) So I wish to go back to college but my points are not high enough for any of the course's I pick. Is there anyway I can apply directly for a course or if I can increase my CAO points without going back to Secondary??

If anyone knows of any helplines/sites that could help me it would be really helpful.

    Thanks

Are you hoping to do a Science based course?

You could do a PLC course such as the one in Colaiste Dhulaigh and from there with an overall mark of 65% or more can gain a place on a number of science courses in DCU and DIT.
    http://http://www.colaistedhulaigh.ie/full-time-courses/science-and-technology/pre-university-science.php

If you don't have the points and are not a mature student I don't think there is any other way in other than doing a PLC course which has links with the ITs and Universities and working your way up.

If you go to daycourses.com there is a forum there where you can ask questions about courses etc.
