    Simple Question I hope ?.

I need to upgrade my 15" LCD monitor & now is the time.
Where is the cheapest place top get a 20"+ at present ?.

Another query, I have a 24" LCD TV that's currently idle, could this be used ?.
I apologise for my inability to google but it's late & I'm drunk.

You all do a fine job with your advice.

Dunno about your first question but I'll have a go at your second.

If your LCD tv is a HDTV the you can and if it has a VGA or DVI input then it is a simple question of plugging it in assuming your graphics card does too.

    VGA looks like this.

    DVI looks like this.

If it has a HDMI port then you will need a DVI-HDMI adaptor.

If your tv has component in, you need a VGA-component adaptor.

You can plug it into non HD tv's but the picture quality will be too poor to use a replacement monitor.

Works nicely with a vga connection, for movies etc but for prolonged use like internet and office stuff, i find it a bit uncomfortable on the eyes.

Standard monitors have a much better range of resolutions also where as (correct me here) lcd tv's have a more limited and lower range of resolutions.

    Typically either 1366×768 or 1920×1080

Im typing this sitting about 2 meters away from mine (26" tv) :D

picture in picture is a nice thing to have while you surf too
