    Sadly, in the majority of cases, no. A person needs to be present in order for the reader to attune themselves to their energies. However, a reading by phone would negate the employment of cold reading techniques- if the subject was careful not to reveal any personal info. So, at least cold reading wouldn't 'contaminate' the proceedings over the phone..

    As it stands, almost all of these telephone reading services are conducted at premium rates per minute, plus you wouldn't go away with the sense of satisfaction you might get from a face-to-face reading.

    Why could you not attune yourself to someone's energy over the telephone? Can the energy not be passed aurally? I think that's making assumptions tbh, especially - as you said - since the less physical contact between the people, the less avenues there are for you to subconsciously give feedback to the reader, and thus the lesser the chance that you leave yourself open to being scammed.

    It's difficult enough reading for someone in person- never mind doing it via telephone. Another thing is that the concept of "aurally" tuning into someone is somewhat impeded by all the electrical currents going from one telephone line to another. It's been said that electrical equipment and other technology goes a bit haywire for (real) psychics. With that in mind, I doubt a telephone reading would work very well.

    Otherwise, just get an in-person reading where you sit concealed behind a screen while the reader tries to read you- if that's possible!
