Hey guys - hope this is the right place for this. Am living in the Maynooth area but working in the city around Merrion Sq....... I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good dentist in either area, and preferably one who might open after regular work hours? I'd like to go to one who will fix a chipped filling without telling me I need sixteen more and bringing me back twenty times.

    Thanks :)

If you just want a filling fixed, ring a local dentist and tell them what you want, this is a simple procedure, no recommendation needed. A dentist has a duty to inform you of any treatrment which he/she feels is necessary to maintain oral health, if you do not want to be informed, just tell them beforehand, a note will be made on your chart that you did not wish to be informed and you will be sent on your way with the tooth repaired, just do not then complain afterwards that other teeth have cavities which the "incompetent" dentist did not diagnose/treat. Remember, the dentist informs you about problems that are already there, you may not like to hear about it but life is like that some times.
