Hi all, went for an expensive meal last night, special occasion.

Stopped eating my chicken dish when the meat tasted a bit weird, it was a curry, so I put it down to being a bit of leg meat or something.

Anyway felt very very ill the second i woke up this morning, I'll spare you the details! Anyway should I report this? and who would I go to? the restaurant? or a health inspector?

My boyfriend says he saw a sign in the restaurant saying
"if you fee unwell, call this number" of course we didn't take the number at the time!

Would be great if i could spare others!

    Cx

    ah dose, hope you're alright..
I'd go to both to make a complaint, and as soon as you can. The health board will check up on it and prevent this happening again. also complain to the management, they may not be aware of poor kitchen hygiene.

jesus where were you eating? never seen anything like that in a restaurant! wouldn't instill a lot of confidence in the place!

Not something to inspire confidence

Before you call I'd get it confirmed by a doctor. If you call them now the management probably won't even acknowledge you, they'll figure you are going to look for compensation so best to say nothing. Sorry, I'm just very cynical.

But call them if you want, it might do some good

Your local environmental health officer is the person to contact if you wish to make a formal complaint. It is only courteous to ring the restaurant as well and inform the manager.

However, if you thought the chicken tasted funny while in the restaurant, you really should have said something there and then.
