can anyone tell me is that the name of the cable needed to connect the ps3 to broadband.lost the one i had but wanna set up the online gaming again.is there a splitter that i can buy for the ethernet slot on the modem(to use pc and ps3).

ethernet cable is cat 5 is netwrok cable.

your router should have 4 ports only need the ps3 to be connected to one of them, ps3 has built in wireless if distance is a problem.

does yours only have one ? and a USB slot? if so can make the pc use the USB and ps3 use the ethernet.

yeah it only has one .its a fairly old one that i picked up cheap somewhere a few years back.could you recommend a good place to buy the cable im gonna need one thats about 12 to 14 ft so i can hide it under the carpet to the back of the tv stand.

Cheapest i have seen them is in B and Q buried in the electronics section :eek: Maplins can make them up for you in the store if theres one close.

Pc world a tad expensive for them, a euro a metre is normal price.
