I was at a party there on new year's eve, started chatting to this guy and basically we were getting on great (I'll admit though both of us were drinking!). Anyway, ended up kissing him and we were kissing and chatting all night! He takes my number and then last night I got a text from him, I texted him back, general chit chat etc and then he asks me if I would be interested to head out with him this week for a few drinks or something. So here's the bit im a teeny bit wary about....
Im three and half months out of a long term relationship of two years, completely over the ex and all and am enjoying the single life. I really don't want to get into another relationship for a while, would not mind some casual dating and having a bit of fun (in non sexual sense) and just having a laugh. However, assuming our date goes well and he asks me on another, does that mean that start of something serious or what?Should I just go on a few dates and go with the flow?!I just want to enjoy life, i'm still young!

Do it, go for the date!

It may not become something serious, speak with him about it...or at least gauge how he is feeling about it.

Aye, go for it. No harm in it as long as you make it clear early on that you're not looking for something serious

+1 on the above too, only be careful what you wish for and don't come down too heavy on the "just looking for fun" side......if after a few dates you did become "into" him and you'd already laid the ground-rules that it was a fling, you might never get the opportunity to hint that you've changed your mind without it seeming very heavy or a major issue.

    Best of luck!

Defo go. Casual dating is what you said you are looking for and that's exactly what you'll be doing by going out on dates. Go with the flow. If your asked on another date go. A 3rd or 4th date doesn't make it serious. Go with it and have fun.

Go for it. Let him know the score at the beginning, if you change your mind and want something more serious later on you can make that call when the time comes. Chances are he wants to suss you out too so a few dates is not a serious commitment!
