great course liam, hold off til feb at least tho if you can
some greens get very worn around this time of year due to weather exposure mainly
the course has some really good holes, particularly those located within the dunes - keep the pro v1's in your bag that day tho!

It's certainly one of the best links courses in the west imho. I used to go on holiday there quite a bit when I was younger and had country membership of the club. They changed a number of holes a few years ago, which I don't neccesarily think was an improvement.

There are some great holes on it. I like the 9th which is a narrow par 4 along the beach. The 11th is an interesting par three especially if you miss the green to the right as there is a huge ravine there. Then there's the short dog-legged 13th par 4 which can break your heart if you try and cut the corner! The 17th is also a lovely little par three that you don't want to miss the green on.

    Enjoy!

I would call it a super course. Well worth the travel and good value even if you have to pay (went there last Sept and the green fees were 3 days midweek for the price of 2 days, was €125 or €135 I think).

Hadnt played it since the new holes were added, and gotta disagree - they are a very fine improvement. The old 1st, 2nd, 14th,15th were OK but dull and well below the standard of the rest of the course.
The new holes ahve remedied that tho.

Of the other over there, Rosses Point is very good. I think the serious golfers regard it better than Enniscrone. For a teen hacker like me, I wouldnt really rank one above the other although Enniscrone probably more fun, foir sheer spectacular holes. Carne in Belmullet is an experience.... Almost takes towering-sand-dunes-links-golf beyond the reasonable. Almost. Excellent fun. Stock up on balls if its windy.

    Enjoy.

Fantastic golf course - new holes have removed the parkland ones at the start of the course so you are now straight into the dunes!

Enjoy it mate - golf doesn't come much better than that!

    Hi,
Enniscrone golf course is in very good condition at the moment, cos I played in it today!!!!
Work being done on first green and 2nd t box. All flat 9 in good condition but playing from the rough at the moment as winter rules apply. It is a links course so playable all year around. U20 was played there last sept. West of Ireland has been played there several times when Rosses point was not playable. Weather here the last two weeks has been great for golf if a little cold. Bring your hip flask!!! :)

Out today on the great links.
Wind picking up , uncertain clouds.

First ever round on a course for my nephew. What a story and place to start.
    The dreams handed on.

Not a bad day. Wind picked up on back and was hard to hold the greens. 7 pars on the front was nice. Should have stayed with irons off tee.

    He is hooked, great day.

Greens not great, but just nothing like that back 9 around.

Sligo is a place that changes people.
    The sea , the waves.
Why is life so brilliant and flawed.

    But , hey....... ....
