Hi all, I have a technician arriving in the morning to collect old sky equipment so anyone who can help I would be grateful..

I have Sky+ in living room. Just disconnected sky multiroom (standard box) in bedroom, hence tech is coming out to collect the box. I want to get sky+ in bedroom I understand without a second subscription I am tied to same channels as living room thats ok. After reading here am I right in thinking I can run a cable from rf out on Sky+ box to bedroom and get an eye to control remote or if not what are my options of getting sky + features to the bedroom? If I want to run it to only one room do I need some type of amplifier in attic? Does the RF out link give you the features of sky + on second tv as I would like to be able to watch recorded channels set in living room in the bedroom? Thanks a lot

First off, why is the technician taking away your existing box? It's yours, unless you're inside the "cooling off" period. As such, you shoudl keep it for FTA channels.

You can run a coaxial cable from RF2 on back of existing Sky+ to bedroom, and connect the "eye" as you say. You'll be able to fully control the Sky+ then from the bedroom, including watching recordings etc.

    hi
Thanks for that info all I need now it to buy the cable and whatever connectors and link etc. BTW Whats the cooling off period? I havent had it long so Im probably still in it but you have me curious now.

edit = googled the cooling off and yes I would be within that so that why they are taking the box
