This is why you should never look at prices after you've booked!

Booked two adult flights to Orlando for next August through Expedia about a month ago (non-refundable tickets), I was pretty pleased with the price, roughly €1000 for the two flights when all the other websites where looking for about €1600. Well, just looked up Expedia again and they are now doing flights for the same dates for €669! Plus these flights are direct, while I have a stop in Gatwick. I am so sick now after seeing that. Just shows, it doesn't always pay to book early!

    Ah cheer up!
It could be worse, you could have got flights for two direct for €640 or with one stop €542 :pac:

I agree with your advice about not looking at prices again once you have booked.

Do remember this: when you booked, you judged that you were getting value, that you would prefer to have the flights than the €1000. That is probably still true.

Sometimes booking later gets you a better deal. But good god why Orlando in August? You must me a masochist.

Its weird a number of people have said that to me before and I've been in August and it wasnt as bad as when we were there in July and only marginally worse than September (although we could have been lucky).

I don't know why Orlando has such a bad reputation in August, it's not THAT hot, ok, it is fairly humid and you can get showers, but they are mainly only for an hour in the afternoon. Plus if you leave it toward the end of August, you skip all the Summer crowds. Orlando doesn't tend to get hit by hurricanes since it's inland. We went in August 2007 and we had our best ever holiday. :)
