I believe I might have come up with a reasonable business idea especially given all the trigger happy '''investors'' (33/1 gamblers) on here who are mad to blindly buy bank shares

How about forming a new bank right now with no previous exposure to the Debt riddening developers etc etc. Lets call it the 'Anglo Debt Free bank' ( for the time being!). Basically raise the capital on boards.ie

and lend to select business customers and home buyers with reasonable LTV and public sector / safer private sectors jobs. but also buy loadsa property as well because when my Bank takes off and lends like hell im sure there mite even be a rise in the prices of select properties in certain areas. maybe even the start of a new Celtic Cat

Its not like theres going to be any shortage of once bitten hopefully twice shy senior bank executives looking for jobs in 2009! :D I dont think the market would look to favourably to appoint some/any of them!

But considering every tom dick and dopey harry has been pounding these boards over the last 3 months about buying ''cheap'' bank shares I thought it was time for a thread on banking shares that was a little different!!

Are you going back to school on Monday? If so, pay attention.

No need to point out people's grammatical errors but a frankly ridiculous thread none the less

Name calling will get you banned on boards. Is your opening post is a level (a joke)? Hindsight after shares drop (after-timing) does not make you a prophet.

No why would it be a joke. The problems the banks have is due to them being over loaded with bad debts.

So if you simply start an new bank tomorrow that has no previous bad debt you probably wouldnt be on a loser.

Plus i think there one or two senior bank executive out there looking for a job.

and we cant have people of their ''ability'' on the dole

Kincsem infracted for the pettiness. I really don't think you're "onto something" here, OP. We try to make this forum welcoming - but serious - and this isn't a serious thread; it's train crash-in-waiting.
