Problem Laptop

    Hi all,

    Im having a problem with my laptop a HP L1 Easynote.

    When starting it up, it takes about 15 mins to get to the desktop:mad:

    The windows tune that plays when it starts is very broken up. Its like the cpu is being pushed to breaking point and it takes an age to settle down.

    I ran AVG and spybot but nothing came back. I have not installed anything new either.

    Any help would be great.

    hi if it was me i would test the hdd it could be damaged

    Uninstal any programs you dont and wont use , especially the bundled crap that often comes pre-installed . Run msconfig and uncheck any items other than security processes under the Startup tab . Update OS and drivers . How much RAM is installed and what OS is the laptop running ?
