after 5 years, jonathan creek returned with a one off 2hr special.
    it was fantastic!
the mystery was great and it has a good explanation.
as usual the side plot with adam was hilarious.
the only difference was that jonathan didnt need convincing to take on the mystery.

    any other opinions?

It was pretty good, had the usual mix of bits you could guess / see where they were leading. Only hope they'll do more, I got the series on DVD and after that length of time we'd forgotten some of the tricks so they were well worth watching

I normally like Jonathan Creek but I was disappointed by this episode. It was far too long and struggled to keep me interested.

It sure kept me scratching my head as to where the victims had gone, would never have thought of the **** in a million years. So the dead birds were a red herring, and there was me thinking of a mirror trick or a revolving turret or some such madness :)

It was far from the best episode of JC I've seen, and pales in comparison to the other 2 hour specials, but any new JC is a good thing. The way the people in the room kept 'disapearing' was clever enough.

Yeah I figured the disappearance was related to the
    bath
because it was the one thing they didn't really look at in detail. Part of me thought
the bath would mince people up and you would pour down the drain

    A really stupid idea =D

And a new 3 part series next year.
BBC One has ordered a new series of Jonathan Creek, the hit comedy-drama starring Alan Davies, to follow a new Easter special.

A 3-part series will begin filming later this year for broadcast in 2014, according to TV industry publication Broadcast.

Never quite got into Creek, the mysteries were never quite as smart as they thought they were, Davies is not an actor really and his side kicks have been annoying.

Does any one know where I could see a repeat of the Easter 2013 Jonathan Creek Special? I've seen the first hour of it but my brother unplugged the sky box before it had finished. Teardrop.
