It seems a bit expensive, have a look at Studio 15 laptops with Dell. I got one before xmas for €475

That acer is pretty good value. There is nothing missing from a business laptop that a home user would need. Dabs are a pretty good retailer as well.

Be careful of the dell outlet, some of the laptops are good value but some of them are very overpriced. You can get some great bargains there but just be careful.

Would you recommend any other laptops with roughly the same specifications as these. Maybe with a good enough graphics card, dosnt matter too much though.

The acer has a better processor, the dell has a better graphics card. If you want to do any 3d stuff (gaming, autocad stuff) then the dell would be better.

Could you recommend a better laptop than these for around the same price or are these as good as im going to get?

Would this acer be better than the dell i mentioned above. Its cheaper too or would the dell still have better graphics?

Can't really recommend anything better. That acer in your first post has a really fast processor, boat loads of ram and a good sized hard drive. I'd stick with that.

Well i will be using autocad and multisim, will i be able to use them with that laptop without any trouble?

Well if you're doing 3d work you might want to look for something with a better graphics card. Not too sure about autocad and multisim and what ther require graphics card wise.,

Would the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 or the ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3450 be better? Im guessing the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 because 3470 is a higher number than 3450, would i be right?

Yeah, the 3470 is that little bit better.

Yeah, the 3470 is that little bit better.

Ok im thinking of going for this acer because its cheaper than the dell studio, has a better graphics and has bluray unlike the acer at the start of the thread

Do'u think this would be a good choice or would i be better off sticking with the acer at the start of the thread?

Yeah, the 3470 is that little bit better.

Probably not that much better as there is only a difference of 20 in the number:p

Anyone else like to help me to decide between these two laptops.

Would it be better to have the laptop with the better processor or the laptop with the better graphics card and blueray? Is the processor in the first laptop a lot better or just a small bit better?
