    42 - 24 Colts

(for those that don't know, I'm a Colts fan :D)

Lol, thats some prediction, Philly to make it is very unrealistic, the Colts have a serious chance in the AFC. The only thing is playing away from home in every game.

Personally I think on the NFC side that if the Giants get beat then the Panthers go to the Superbowl as they would have home advantage all the way to it and they are unbeaten at home. The side that can upset everyone is the Atlanta Falcons.
But really its still impossible to predict even at this late stage. A very unusual season all around.

Not necessarily. The Colts could host the Ravens in the AFC championship game.

For me, Steelers to beat the Giants 23-20.

Never thought of that one, but it could well happen, there is no certainty for me in either conference. I think the big question is how Roethlisberger is now, if he is fine, I'd fancy the Steelers can go all the way but only if he and Willie Parker remain fit. Their defense is amazing, probably the best I've ever personally seen but their offense cannot succeed with Big Ben and to a lesser extent Willie Parker.

The Falcons aint that good. They had the advantage of being in a woeful division. Not a chance they make the superbowl.

NFC wise the order i'd go for is Panthers, Giants, Eagles, Cardinals, Falcons, Vikings.

AFC wise i reckon Colts, Chargers, Steelers, Ravens, Titans, Miami.

Colts v Carolina superbowl with the Colts taking it.

If the Cowboys were in the Playoffs, I guarantee there'd be people here saying they'd win it. Philly destroyed them. Aside from maybe the Giants, I don't see another team in the NFC as dangerous as them. (Ok, the Panthers look good too). It's still not that ridiculus though.
They're 9-6-1, ok ... but lets be honest, the winner of the Colts Chargers game will be favourites for the superbowl. That's the 8-8 Chargers. So why not the Eagles?????

Anybody's guess is as good as anyone else's but I'm with The Mont. I predict a Manning Bowl with the Giants to win. The Colts are on a late season surge and the Giants will have had plenty of time to lick their wounds and be in prime shape to defend their title.

Woeful division? Would this be the division without a team with a lsoing record? The division who's winner you have as the top NFC team (and remember that the Falcons were only a Panthers missed field goal away from winning the division last week).

Now I'm not saying they'll win it but you're off your rocker if you think the NFC south is a woeful division

Financially speaking I'd like the Panthers (or Colts) to win.

Your rankiing of the Cardinals is mind blowing. I don't see how you can put them ahead of anybody.

You say Falcons were in an awful division and then rank the cardinals ahead of them? :pac:

    Lads...

Warner = Superbowl Rings and Boldin and Larry Fitz and homefield.
Ryan = Rookie (impressive rookie but still a rookie) and Roddy White (good but not in Boldin or Larry Fitzs league) and away.

If they were playing in Atlanta i'd prob have Atlanta ahead of the Cards.

And I just think the Vikings are plain average, i'd be shocked if Philly doesn't put them away (although it is the Eagles so you never know...)

Ok not just that I think the Cardinals are the worst team in the playoffs but also there is a strict line of form that supports my argument.

Cardinals lost 35-14 to the Vikings at home, who in turn lost at home to the Falcons by a touchdown.
As I said, thats just a little addition for you. I don't need that at all to make my mind up who the worst team in the playoffs is.
And just so you remember they conceded 56 points to the Jets as well. Its ok to have a good offense but when you reach the playoffs you need a defense and they don't have one.

Cardinals are the worst team in the play-offs. They only beat 2 teams with a record above .500. I dont see how you can claim the Falcons were in a **** division. Do you think being in a division with the Rams, Seahawks and 49ers is a tough division?

Sure the worst team in the Falcons division had a better record then the team that came second in the NFC west.

Don't know really, hard to say but I'll be shoutin' for the Ravens :P

How did the 49ers get on this year? 2nd in NFC West last time I heard. Thought I heard on the radio they are/were playing the Redskins next.

Neither teams are in the playoffs!
They did beat Redskins in the final week.
    49ers end season at 7-9

I like that OP post. Colts over nem Eagles.

I'm going with Colts to beat the Eagles.

Both teams are in good form coming into the playoffs.I can see Steelers being there over the Colts though as it'll be hard for the Colts to beat the Steelers in Pittsburgh, with the weather this time of year.

The Eagles should beat the Vikings this week and end up playing the Giants and then the Panthers. The Eagles did beat the Giants a few weeks ago so its possible. However, it totally depends on what side turns up.The side taht have won 4 of the last 5 or the side that got hammered against the Ravens and cant put points on the board.

Also, Falcons in a woeful division?Care to explain cos that is the stupidest comment I have ever seen

well after last nights results i think the only
certain thing is the unpredictability of the games
this season...had a feeling about the cardinals game
but never expected the colts to go like that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,452 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

Well I'm still finding it hard to pick but at this stage for me its between the top two seeds on both sides. Giants/Panthers vs Titans/Steelers.

I will be shouting for the Steelers but they seem to have too many crucial players with injuries on the offense for me to pick them yet. They lost the battle for the no.1 seed to the Titans so if both make the Conference final then they have to play them in the same stadium again.

On the other side, the Giants pulled a win out of the bag at home to the Panters a couple of weeks ago and theres very little between them.

Props on the Cards shout Pyjamarama, I certainly didnt expect them to win.

Thing is I never said the Cardinals were in a better division I just didn't think the Falcons were up to much. I think outside of the Panthers the division is weak. I know the stats don't really back that up but the Bucs are a poor side and the Saints are the most one dimensional team i've seen in a long time.

Perhaps saying weak division was a bit much, prob an over-reaction to the people who think the Falcons were any better than ordinary. Game went exactly as I thought it would, no way the Falcons win a shootout.

Also should be pointed out that they got to play the AFC West aswell...

I could see a Panthers v Steelers Superbowl this year, but I won't count out the Titans or Giants, I'd say 2 of those 4 will be heading to Tampa this year.

Going with Steve Smith, Deangelo Williams and the Panthers to take it all.
