    Hi guys

My laptop recently ran some windows updates and was possibly affected by the recent patch issue (this is what i have been told anyway). Since then my laptop wont boot up. I dont have the installation disk that is needed, I keep all the cds that came with the laptop together, but definitely dont have this. Is there an easy way of getting it or do I need to buy it from Dell?

My laptop is a dell inspiron 1501.

Thanks for any advice - Im clueless when it comes to computers

Are you sure you don't have a disk that says "operating system" on it.

I had this issue recently with the automatic update - (vista) and the easiest fix by a long shot is a reinstall.
