    jaysus.

I know he is good, I have seen his documentaries, but that doesn't mean I have to lie down and wallow in his pronouncements and opinions as McGuirk did tonight( well!.whenever it was recorded:D)

Just because someone writes for a newspaper or appears on TV doesn't mean that I ,for one, takes all they say as gospel.

respect yes, but total subjugation, no way Jose!!

    Ah look it's 2009 Peace.:p

Listen to the podcast and tell me if Mcguirk went out of character or not.

Normally he is a feisty and combative kind of guy.

All I'm saying is we shouldn't treat these people ,however good they are, as deitys.

I'm never going to interview Pilger, I'm just an ordinary Joe.

    God Awful.

The Pilger interview was apalling. Didn't extract sod all of interest from a very interesting subject. Tom's fawning was cringe inducing.

This behaviour was only trumped with the abysmal Germaine Greer interview on the 30th (I think). This interview was conducted in seperate studios and therefore lacked any warmth of depth. Once again Tom blustered his subject with vacuous nonsense. Once again a interview that I was looking forward to scuppered by a badly judged approach by a presenter that hasn't a scooby fecking doo how to ask a question properly.

tom mcgurk is a champagne socilist (and IMO away from rugby is intollerable) and john pilger is the poster boy for left wing journalists , makes sense that mcgurk was on his knees durring the interview

    p.s

i think john pilger is a great great journalist , full of integrity
