Friday the 13th Remake.How badly is this going to suck.

Im a big fan of the original,the first couple of sequels were pretty cool,Jason X n Freddy Vs Jason sucked donkey balls.A remake though.Uhhhhhh.
It was inevitable that this was going to happen but it still doesnt mean it pisses me off any less.When a trailer says from producer Micheal Bay and from the director of Texas Chainsaw Massacre(not Tobe Hooper ) you know its going to suck but what Im wondering is just how many explosions they will manage to fit in cos at this stage the gormless movie going public demand it.The flashier the better and the fools will lap it up.Plus the fact Jason is in it,WTF--Id be pretty sure thats cos if he wasnt in it people ie the movie going aretards wouldnt understand "its friday the 13th and there isnt a Jason,I dont get it"
Anyway.What are other boardsies thoughts?

Hummm i enjoyed the Rob Zombie version of Holloween,

Now in saying that this remake is going to be absolute poo for the very simple reason that Michael Bay is involved. Product placing and unnecessary changes to the story will probably occur.

I bet they make it very clear that Jason is sporting a Bauer mask or some other famous brand :P

Its not a remake. Its a rehash, similar to The Incredible Hulk vs Hulk movie. In the original Friday 13th Jason didnt wear a hockey mask. also Kevin Bacon's world class performance cannot be remade.

In the original Jason wasnt in it.He wore a sack mask in his first main role(part 2) and didnt get the hockey mask until 3 or 4.

You know what, I haven't actually seen the first one. I was always too scared as a kid to watch horrors, I always hung around the martial arts section in the video store.

Can't see this one being any good though, I'd think otherwise if Rob Zombie were directing, but Michael Bay? Na!

Michael Bay is the producer, not the director.

After the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the Hitcher and Haloween remakes I have low hopes for this.

Sure she was in the hospital at the very end asking about him and the cops tell her that they dragged the lake but found nothing.

What?!! I know Will Smith has come out as a decent actor, but there is NO way this can ever work...such an amazing movie will be butchered, yet again the fact moviemakers are running out of ideas is scary when they resort to this. Why they can't remake an absolute mess of a film into something worthwhile is beyond sanity itself...

ah no i cant believe it. There is no way this is going to be near a good as the originals. Be cool to see what the new camp crystal lake is going to look like. Also how many of the teenagers are going to be 30 year old actors
