Booked a hotel through expedia.ie and they have charged my c. card for the full amount. Is this normal? I had expected the card just to be authorised and that the charge would not be made until checkout at the hotel. Any advice?

I had a look at expedia.ie, and found this:
"Note: Expedia Special Rate requires that your credit card be charged for the full payment upon reservation."

Advice:
1. Read carefully before committing money (too late for you on this one, this time);
2. Live with it -- Expedia are a reputable business, and they are not going to disappear with your money.
