If you get a good price i'd say go for it. City centre to city centre its only a few minutes shorter than the train, but i find that the potentil to be stuck beside screaming kids, ringing phones and skobies for three hours on a train is a big plus for the plane. Worst case scenario when your flying your only stuck beside them for 45minutes. Domestic passengers at Dublin Airport have a fastrack lane through security also.

Aer Arann give you free coffee and a Independent on their Dublin-cork route and no fees to change your flight and free checked in baggage,
while Ryanair aircraft are much bigger and from the new year have a higher frequency than Aer Arann.

For me flying Dublin-Cork is a much more civilised expierience than taking the train

You can fly Dub to Cork in roughly 40 minutes so if you get the right price i'd definitely go for it.

Flew Cork Dublin once - would advise this over Dublin-Cork as its easier to get on a plane in Cork as opposed to Dublin
