Jobseeker's Benefit collection

    Wonder if someone can help me, I missed collecting my benefit from the Post Office yesterday (Wednesday is my payment day). Will I be able to collect this from the Post Office on Friday or do I need to contact Tara Street SW Office?

    Just for info:

    I went to the post office today (2 days after my scheduled payment day) and was able to get my benefit.

    Payments are apparently available for a couple of days after scheduled payment day.

    Social Welfare's letter states:

    You must collect your payment within three days of your payment day.    If you do not collect it on time the payment will be returned to the department and there will be a delay in getting reissued to you. Be careful not to miss it!

    My collection day was Thursday and I have collected as late as the following Tuesday, it definitely stays on the system for a few days. A knowledgeable post office worker will confirm this for you.
