    Hi everyone
I'm looking for a home for a gorgeous, gentle and very well trained 5 yr old male lurcher. A neighbour of mine found him half dead, covered in deep lacerations and with a crushed eye socket hiding in his barn. He thought it was my lurcher which went missing in June. It wasn't her but i took him in as he'd have died otherwise. He spent a week in the vets and after 60 stitches and a course of antibiotics has made a full recovery. I'd love to keep him but just have too many dogs myself to cope with another. The vet thinks his injuries were caused by someone trying to beat his head in and cut his throat. Amazingly he's totally fine emotionally and trusts everyone he meets.

He's obviously belonged to someone at some stage as he's very well trained, obedient and loyal and is very good around other dogs, cats, sheep and children. He's tan and white and slightly rough-haired. I don't want any money for him I'd just love to find a good home for him as he's been through so much and deserves to be loved by someone.

I'm in the Carlow / Kildare area. Here are some photos of him and his injuries, the cuts you can see on him have totally healed now. Please someone take this lovely boy home!

WELL DONE for taking care of him. It is terrible what people do to animals. Cannot take him in myself as I also have a zoo here at the moment! but will keep an eye out for a home for you. Again well done!!! :)

Maybe you should post up more updated pictures to go with the ones showing how badly he was treated/attacked. :)

Fair play to you for taking him in. You could also get in touch with some of these groups that might help you find a home.
