Sky PIN

My Sky box is suddenly asking for my PIN every time I go to "Other Channels".....

It's pathetic enough to have to go to "Other Channels" in the first place, without the added annoyance and inconvenience of having to enter a PIN - EVERY TIME (even if you pick one to check what's on and then want to check another).

This *maybe* happened when I changed the PIN to something memorable and selected the option to delete those so-called "Adult" channels / ads (more suitable for pimply teenage boys, TBH) just to cut down on the amount of crap channels that are listed.

Anyone know how I can get the box to behave and show me the "Other Channels" the way it used to ?

Take off the restrictions on Adult channels.

Its either/or, I'm afraid. No middle ground.

    Cheers mate! That worked!

Complete arseways oversight by Sky that the two are linked, but I supposed that technically there could be adult content on the "Other Channels".

That said, it just seems like another way for Sky to make it even more awkward to use the channels that don't pay them extra for EPG positions.

Makes a mockery of the "Sky - you're in control" slogan that they have in the box's documentation, though.

If Sky had their way, there probably wouldn't be an "Other Channels" options (competition reasons have to allow it)

And it is entirely possible to tune in adult channels through "other channels", so perhaps that why it pin protects there too.

100% agreed (and I said as much earlier).....but given that there's more of interest on "movies for men" than the pathetic "ugly wannabe sex kittens rolling on couches to persuade pathetic lonely sods to ring premium phone numbers", the above excuse is a bit of a joke when the "Adult" options doesn't cover "m4m".....
