No fireworks, no bangers, no nothing ...silent night (so far), only happy and relaxed pets. :)

    Is the recession THAT bad?

Heard a few fireworks going off somewhere near about 10 minutes ago. Of course this being Dublin 15 it could have been gunfire. :D

Heard a few fireworks earlier this evening.

I would imagine there will be more later - if there isn't, we will have to blame it on the recession, which is blamed for everything going wrong these days. :)

Let's hope there are a few going off at midnight , it's nice to look at them for a little while.

What do they throw into the air at 12 tonight in Limerick then?

    Their knives?

I'm out near Tallaght, no noises, not a bang or a whoop!

Why would anyone want to celebrate 2009?
We're all fu*ked this year - job losses, race riots, emigration, negative equity.

Bloomin' fireworks woke all my young kids at one in the morning.
I went out and kicked arses!

Definitely a surprising lack of fireworkage given that half of Dublin spend their weekends in Newry nowadays!

I've a view over the whole city. Seemed to be a decent amount of fireworks at midnight. Only went on for about 20 minutes though.
